We are seeking a part time (0.50 FTE), specialist Languages Teacher with the ability to teach Spanish up to KS4 (and ideally KS5). Offering a second language (French, German or Italian) at KS3 would also be a benefit. Most important is a passion for teaching the subject, and the knowledge and personal qualities to inspire our students.

Educational requirements:

Strong subject knowledge;
Knowledge and understanding of the requirements of the National Curriculum;
Knowledge and understanding of the learning process;
Experience of delivering the KS3 and KS4 curriculum in Spanish;
Experience of delivering the KS5 curriculum in Spanish;
Knowledge/experience of teaching a second language in either French, German or Italian.

Qualification requirements:

Qualified Teacher status (by employment start date) with specialisation in Modern Foreign Languages (Spanish).

Skills and experience requirements:

Excellent classroom practitioner with success in teaching Spanish;
Evidence of creative and imaginative approaches to teaching and learning;
Ability to use e-learning in the classroom to achieve improvement;
Ability to meet tight deadlines and pay attention to detail;
High level of interpersonal skills;
Able to manage students’ behaviour and learning effectively;
Ability to see tasks through to a successful conclusion;
Good organisational and administrative skills;
Ability to work under pressure.
