Salary: £18,723 to £19,833 pro rata per annum. Plus generous benefits. These include: 

•    43 days annual leave per year pro rata (including bank holidays and efficiency closures)
•    Generous Occupational Pension Scheme – employer contribution of 20.1%

About the role
Working as part of York College’s Examinations Office you will support the team in all aspects of student registration, examination and certification processes with specific responsibility for Awarding Organisation as nominated by the Examinations Officer. You will also oversee the scheduling of invigilators for all exams with support from the wider team.  This role is ideally suited to fit around home commitments allowing someone to do shorter hours 5 days a week or a mix of full and part days.

You will be able to maintain accurate data records contributing to College compliance with achievement reporting requirements, inspections and audits. You will also support the work of the College Student Data and Exams Manager in providing a quality service and respond to queries and requests for information relating to the exams function from students, staff and external agencies quickly and efficiently.

Many of our staff work flexibly in many different ways, including working from home.  In this role you may be required to work from home for part of the week (normally up to 50% of the working week).  We are open to discussing other possibilities for flexible working and encourage you to talk to us at interview about the flexibility you need. We can’t promise to give you exactly what you want, but we will explore what’s possible for the role.

About the Person
This post is idea for a friendly, approachable person who works well as part of both a small and larger team but also is able to work independently.  You would need to be well organised and able to keep track of a number of different qualifications and requirements to meet Awarding Organisation (AO) requirements. Have strong accuracy skills when entering data and dealing with AO specific web sites and functions, the ideal candidate would also have strong customer service skills covering a range of situations from senior management queries to student requests for exam/achievement information.
