Teaching at a SEND school

Teaching at a Special Needs & Disabilities (SEND) school is unlike anything else that you might experience out there.

As a teacher at a SEND school, you will be given the choice over whether you should focus your career on particular pupil assistance or on helping entire classes with a range of needs.

A lot of the time a SEND teacher will work with a range of students who have a range . of different disabilities including dyslexia or dyscalculia, autism, epilepsy, learning difficulties, visual or hearing impairments, mobility problems or more, meaning that you will need to help students with a variety of problems.
